Abstract

This study was aimed at identifying the major factors that influence the turnover intentions of employees in the tourism sector in Zimbabwe. The Zimbabwean tourism sector has been losing professional guides and hunters to competitors operating in the neighbouring countries such as Botswana, Namibia and South Africa. The regression results suggest that gender, education, push and pull factors significantly influence turnover intentions of employees in the tourism sector. Therefore, human resource managers in the Zimbabwean tourism sector need to pay more attention to these factors in order to minimise the employee turnover rate
