Abstract
The strategic importance of intrapreneurship has emerged as a critical differentiator for organizations seeking sustainable growth and competitive advantage in today's rapidly evolving business landscape. Research (Antonic & Hisrich, 2003: DeKeyson & Vandenbempt, 2023: Klofsten, Volkman, and Fichter, 2021) demonstrates that intrapreneurship—defined as the practice of applying entrepreneurial principles within established organizations—has evolved from a peripheral concept to a core business strategy, with 89% of surveyed programs now focused squarely on generating business impact (Degreef, 2024). This transformation reflects a fundamental shift in how organizations approach innovation, moving from external acquisition strategies to leveraging internal talent and resources. The strategic value of intrapreneurship extends across multiple dimensions, including enhanced innovation capabilities, improved employee engagement, stronger financial performance, and increased organizational agility, making it an essential component of modern business strategy.
